WARRANTY

Each product made by Zero Halliburton, Inc. is manufactured to the highest industry standards. Most products are covered by the “Zero Halliburton Ten (10) Year Limited Warranty Plan” (“the 10 Year Limited Warranty”). The 10 Year Limited Warranty applies to Zero Halliburton travel, business, or casual bags, regardless of the material composition, and is only valid on such Zero Halliburton products purchased from authorized Zero Halliburton dealers, Zero Halliburton retail stores, outlet locations or the Zero Halliburton website. Certain other Zero Halliburton products and Collections, including those listed below, are not covered under the 10 Year Limited Warranty, but are covered under a different warranty plan, as identified below.

The 10 Year Limited Warranty is non-transferable and is only available to the original purchaser of any Zero Halliburton product to which it applies. It does not extend to any subsequent owner or transferee of the product. Proof of purchase is required to validate the 10 Year Limited Warranty.

SCOPE OF COVERAGE

The 10 Year Limited Warranty provides coverage against defects in workmanship and materials that arise during the period that starts from the date of purchase and for ten years thereafter (the "10 Year Limited Warranty Period") and not to exceed seven years after final date of production of the collection. For most products, other than specialized or limited edition, discontinued or out-of-stock products, Zero Halliburton guarantees that it will repair or replace the product, provided the defect in workmanship and materials is discovered and a claim is made during the 10 Year Limited Warranty Period. Whether Zero Halliburton will repair or replace the product will be determined by Zero Halliburton, in its sole discretion. For specialized or limited edition, discontinued or out-of-stock products, Zero Halliburton guarantees that it will replace the item with a product at equal to or greater retail value, and does not guarantee an exact replacement of the same limited edition, discontinued or out-of-stock item.

The 10 Year Limited Warranty Period is not extended if Zero Halliburton repairs or replaces the product. Zero Halliburton may change the scope and availability of this limited warranty at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive in effect. The 10 Year Limited Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damages that do not impact the functionality of your Zero Halliburton product, such as scratches, dents, or stains. Damages as a result of extreme climate conditions and/or improper storage may not be covered under the 10 Year Limited Warranty. Damage caused by an airline or courier service including but not limited to missing wheels, broken locks and handles, damaged zippers and misalignment of the case’s frame are not covered under the 10 Year Limited Warranty. If your Zero Halliburton product is damaged by an airline or third-party handler, please contact that company directly to file a claim.

The following products and collections are excluded from the Zero Halliburton Ten Year Warranty Plan:

ZERO HALLIBURTON FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Certain Zero Halliburton products are covered by the “Zero Halliburton Five (5) Year Limited Warranty Plan” (“The 5 Year Limited Warranty”). The 5 Year Limited Warranty applies to the following products or collections and does not exceed five years after final date of production of the collection: The Journal Collection, The Journal Edition Collection, ZH Packing System, ZH Small Leather Accessories, ZH Mini Traveler and ZH Golf and Sport Collection. The 5 Year Limited Warranty is only valid on covered Zero Halliburton products that were purchased from authorized Zero Halliburton dealers, Zero Halliburton retail stores, outlet locations or the Zero Halliburton website.

The 5 Year Limited Warranty is non-transferable and is only available to the original purchaser of any Zero Halliburton product to which it applies. It does not extend to any subsequent owner or transferee of the product. Proof of purchase is required to validate the 5 Year Limited Warranty.

Warranty for Products Purchased at Zero Halliburton Official Outlet Stores

For products purchased at our official outlet stores, we offer a 3-year warranty on hard-shell suitcases, with certain exceptions. During this period, if any material or manufacturing defects are identified, we will repair the item at no cost. If repair parts are unavailable, we will use substitute parts, but in some cases, repairs may not be possible due to the product's design. If repair is not feasible, we may replace the item with a new or equivalent product.

Please be aware that damages caused by airline handling, transportation, improper use, normal wear and tear (such as wear on wheels, zippers, handles, scratches, and discoloration), or repairs and modifications done outside our authorized repair centers are not covered under this warranty. Additionally, we do not cover damages to or loss of the contents of your luggage, loss of use, or related costs.

Even after the warranty period expires, you can still arrange repairs through the authorized retailer where you made the purchase or by contacting our customer service center. We will provide a repair estimate for your approval before proceeding. To take advantage of this warranty, you must present the warranty certificate you received at the time of purchase. Please keep it in a safe place. If you do not have the warranty certificate or if it is not stamped with the store's seal, a receipt or other proof of purchase will be required, so please keep these documents as well.

Please note that purchases made outside of our official outlet stores or without presenting a warranty certificate (or a receipt or proof of purchase) will incur a fee.

Additionally, depending on your location, certain restrictions and exceptions may apply.

For any defects arising from improper handling after use, repairs will be done at your expense. The following instances will require paid repairs:

  • Normal wear and tear, discoloration, or damage due to heat, solvents, acids, water, etc.
  • Damage or malfunction caused during transportation, such as by airlines.
  • Aging-related degradation or damage, such as deterioration of the body, handle, or wheels.
  • Intentional damage, gross negligence, or misuse by the customer.
  • Damage caused by war, riots, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or natural disasters (such as typhoons, floods, tsunamis, etc.).
  • Damage resulting from repairs or modifications performed by anyone other than an authorized repair center.

Please note the following:

  • Soft-sided suitcases, bags, and other products that are not covered under this warranty are not covered by this warranty.
  • Products purchased outside of our official outlet stores are not covered by this warranty.

If you are in the United States and require repair services, please submit a ZH Service request by completing the form located at https://zerohalliburton.com/pages/parts-and-service. If the repair is covered under any warranty described herein, Zero Halliburton will, in its sole discretion, either repair or replace the product free of charge. If your claim is submitted during either the 10 Year Limited Warranty Period or the 5 Year Limited Warranty Period, as applicable, Zero Halliburton will also pay for shipping from an authorized repair facility. Proof of purchase or a gift receipt is required.

Zero Halliburton is able to provide repair services for products that are out of warranty or are not covered under any Warranty. For out-of-warranty repairs, you are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the designated service center. Zero Halliburton will provide you with an estimate of service costs for approval prior to repairing your Zero Halliburton product.

Repair service and replacement parts may not be available for Zero Halliburton products that are out-of-warranty, as many of the components may have become obsolete.

REPLACEMENT PARTS

Certain in-warranty replacement parts may be available for purchase, along with a small shipping charge through Zero Halliburton repair services. Please submit a ZH Service request by completing the form located at https://zerohalliburton.com/pages/parts-and-service.

Replacement parts for Out-of-Warranty products are generally not available.

Replacements parts installed by parties other than an authorized ZH service partner may void future warranty claims.

Zero Halliburton will not provide replacement parts for the following items:

  • Foam inserts
  • Case lining
  • Hinges, arm stays and pins for travel cases and attaché cases
  • Locks for attaché cases produced before 2018 and models identified with running component changes

PROPERTIES OF ALUMINUM

Since 1938, Zero Halliburton has been committed to creating aluminum travel cases that provide unsurpassed quality and protection for a traveler’s personal belongings. Aluminum is strong and durable; however, it will show “dings” and scratches, possibly even after the first use. These “dings” and scratches are recognizable badges of travel and should not expose the internal contents of a bag to damage.

PRODUCT CARE

Zero Halliburton aluminum and polycarbonate cases will pick up scratches, abrasions, and nicks over time. While scratches may cause the underlying aluminum surface to appear worn, Zero Halliburton cases will still provide protection for your contents, no matter the bump or bruise.

Zero Halliburton recommends removing dirt or residue from an aluminum case by wiping the case with a soft, damp cloth. Cleaning solutions must NOT contain abrasives, as these cleaners may damage the case surface or leave scratch marks. Aluminum cases may be shined by applying a coat of mild polish wax that does NOT contain silica.

For polycarbonate luggage pieces, Zero Halliburton recommends coating a soft cloth or sponge in lukewarm water and mild soap and cleaning the shell in a vertical motion. Do NOT use any cleaners or agents such as ammonia, acetone, benzene or chloroform. Cleaners that include phenol or any of these ingredients can damage the polycarbonate case.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. ZERO HALLIBURTON’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE GOODS IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AS DESCRIBED IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED IN THIS WARRANTY ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES, AND CONSTITUTE ZERO HALLIBURTON’S ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. ZERO HALLIBURTON’S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR YOUR ZERO HALLIBURTON PRODUCT, NOR SHALL ZERO HALLIBURTON UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT. HOWEVER, SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW FOR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. ZERO HALLIBURTON LIMITS THE DURATION OF AND REMEDIES UNDER ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. HOWEVER, SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
